Stainless Steel |
Wash in hot soapy water, rinse and dry immediately or use a suitable stainless steel cleaning agent and
follow the instructions. To remove streaks or heat stains from stainless steel, rub with soda water. Never
use abrasives, such as general household cleaning products, heavy duty cleaners, bleach, steel wool or salt.
Dampness can lead to rust, so try to keep metal objects dry at all times. |

| C |
Tempered Glass |

and has been heat treated but avoid placing hot objects directly onto the glass. |
| D |
Aluminium |
Wash aluminium with soapy cloth and rinse clear with water. Avoid using abrasive cloths as this may scratch
the furniture surface. |
| E |
Steel |
The steel in this product may experience rusting deterioration over a prolonged period of time if left
outside unprotected. |
| F |
Timber |
During normal weathering, timber may crack slightly due to changes in the moisture. This does not affect
the structural integrity of your BBQ. We recommend using Del Terra BBQ & Outdoor Furniture oil, to
maintain its natural finish. Do not use bleach or strong solvents as these can harm the timber surface.
Discolouration and variance in the appearance of timbers are normal characteristics of this natural material. |

Preparing for first use
(Cast Iron & Steel
Hotplates & Grills) and care
after every use |
Before first use
- Clean the cooking surface with warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly.
- Dry the cooking surface, and then lightly coat all sides of the burners, rock trays, plates and grills with a
suitable non-stick BBQ cooking spray.
- Place the hotplate and grills back into the BBQ and heat for a few minutes or just until the surface just
begins to smoke, then turn off the BBQ.
- Gently scrub the cooking surface down with clean warm water.
- Dry the cooking surface, and then lightly coat it with a suitable nonstick BBQ cooking spray.
- Pre-heat your barbeque and you’re ready to go!
After every use
- After cooking, brush excess residue off the cooking surface and turn burners to HIGH with the hood
open for 5 minutes. This will burn off most of the grease
- Turn the gas cylinder off. Let the BBQ burn out and then switch the BBQ burners off. This clears any
excess gas from your BBQ hose.
- Use a suitable BBQ Oil and Grease Remover to clean excessively dirty hot plates, grills and racks.
- Scrub the cooking surface thoroughly with clean warm water.
- To prevent rusting, lightly coat your cast iron or steel hot plate with a suitable non-stick BBQ cooking
spray. This is not required for Vitreous Enamel or Stainless Steel.
- When the BBQ has completely cooled down, close the hood or lid to keep the cooking surface dry and
rust free. Ensure BBQ is cool before covering with a barbeque cover.

LPG Safety Tips
& Safe Use |
LPG Safety Tips
- Store cylinder in a well ventilated area
- Use a cylinder sealing plug or a gas safety lock to reduce danger from leaks.
- Always keep cylinder upright
- Have your cylinder safety inspected at least every 10 years
Connecting the Gas Cylinder
- Before connecting the cylinder, inspect the hose, fittings and rubber seals
- If there is any sign of splitting or wear, have the hose replaced
- Make sure all connections are tightened with a spanner and then conduct this simple test:
- Turn the gas on at the cylinder without turning on the BBQ
- Brush soapy water on all the connections
- If bubbles appear, then there is a leak
- Alternatively use a gas safety lock to conduct this test quickly and more thoroughly
- Keep the hose free of knots & kinks
- To prevent gas leaks connect a gas safety lock to cylinder
